Spring is near in Mississippi. Birds and Blooms. blogged March 3, 2016 |
When I was looking through the photos on my phone for finished quilt pictures, I noticed the hundreds of snapshots I've taken since moving here to beautiful Mississippi. The last 1 1/2 years or so has been an incredible adventure. Right from day one, I've had a sense of coming home even though I had never been to the South before. And at the same time, EVERYTHING is brand new! Everything causes a sense of wonder deep in my soul...
... from the tiniest wild flowers....
..... and colorful mushrooms!!....
MUSHROOMS EVERYWHERE!!
the biggest wild mushroom i've ever seen.. |
....... to very large creepy crawlies I that I could see....
....and some unseen but obviously there!....
... And the glorious wildlife around our house!
....some not so happy critters! |
......EVEN CRITTERS IN THE ATTIC! |
.... and breathtaking landscapes... |
Lovely cotton fields along the highway.. |

the inspiration for "Faith of a Seed... Beauty of the South" made for a Possum Town Ultimate Quilt Guild Challenge. It was the first time I've entered a quilt competition.
